Another GOTG Actor Wants in On James Gunn's Suicide Squad 2

Dave Bautista says he wanted in on Suicide Squad 2 after it was announced that James Gunn will write and possibly direct the film, and now another Guardians of the Galaxy actor wants to board the project as well, and funny thing is, he's already a veteran of the DC universe.

Replying to Bautista's tweet is Michael Rosenbaum, who posted:

Rosenbaum played Martinex in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, but a lot more people may recognize him for his role of Lex Luthor in the Smallville series. Just in case you didn't know, Rosenbaum also provides the voice of The Flash in Justice League Unlimited, and he's voiced several other DC characters including Deadman and Kid Flash; he was also the voice of Johnny Charisma in Arkham Knight.

For now, it looks like Suicide Squad 2 is going to undergo a full rewrite. Originally, there was a script in the works with director Gavin O'Connor, but it had to be scrapped since it was deemed to identical to the upcoming Birds of Prey. With the script needing a fresh take, O'Connor up and quit the project, leaving the role of director open for James Gunn.

Going back to Rosenbaum, I'm sure a lot of people would be happy to see him back in DC granted he has a reputation in the universe. Some are even asking him to take over the Lex Luthor role from Jesse Eisenberg.

Honestly, we don't know where Suicide Squad 2 will go, but granting Gunn did fantastic work with the obscure Guardians of the Galaxy, a lot of fans are excited to see what he could bring to the DCEU.

No release date has been announced for Suicide Squad 2.
