5- Minute Clip of Godzilla: King of Monsters Released

Avengers: Endgame may be set to dominate the box office later this month, but Legendary is seeking to take May with the release of Godzilla: King of Monsters. We don't have a new trailer yet, but the official account for the film has released a five-minute clip you can exclusively view on HBO.

Check out the teaser for the clip:

What I also think is cool about the teaser is that it seems to be borrowing from the first trailer of using classical music to sell the film. With the first trailer making use of Debussy's Claire de Lune, here we have a dramatic rendition of the classic Somewhere Over the Rainbow. This is just my speculation, but I think all this music will actually be key to the films, seeing that the movie is going to have the Monarch organization attempt to communicate to the "Titans" via sound—and what better sound is there than music?

Of course, that's just my speculation. I just think it's cool that they've found an interesting way to market this movie—I just have to believe all the music used in the trailers will have significance to the film somehow.

Members of the crypto-zoological agency Monarch face off against a battery of god-sized monsters, including the mighty Godzilla, who collides with Mothra, Rodan, and his ultimate nemesis, the three-headed King Ghidorah. When these ancient super-species-thought to be mere myths-rise again, they all vie for supremacy, leaving humanity's very existence hanging in the balance.

Godzilla: King of Monsters is set to come out May 31.
