Batman Ninja Gets First Poster And New Details


Warner Bros revealed new details about the upcoming anime film Batman Ninja, a straight to home release film that has a unique take on the Batman mythos. The film was teased during press releases for the New York Comic-Con and it was officially revealed during the event. DC and Warner Bros also revealed the film's official poster, which looks pretty cool.

Takashi Okazaki, the creator of Afro Samurai and the film's character designer, was at the con along with the movie's director Jumpei Mizusaki. The creators said that they were approached by Warner Bros to do the project, which will involve time travel and plenty of stylish action. A trailer was shown during New York Comic-Con, though it hasn't been officially released to the public.

Comic Book gave some interesting details on the trailer. We see Batman in bulky samurai armor and Joker seemingly in possession of some mystic power, supposedly looking similar to Ryuk from Death Note. The trailer also confirmed that Nightwing, Penguin, Robin, Poison Ivy, Penguin, Catwoman, and Harley Quinn. How they time traveled to the past hasn't been shown, but the animation was described as rich, fluid, and colorful.

No voice actors were named, though the panel promised familiar names would be part of the movie. Fans are hoping Kevin Conroy will be Batman again since he has voiced him for a number of projects involving the Dark Knight most notably Batman: The Animated Series. It could also be Jason O'Mara, who voiced Batman in a number of DC animated films, including Justice League War and Batman Bad Blood.

Batman Ninja will come out sometime in 2018.
