Awesome Star Wars and Indiana Jones Posters Coming Soon from Mondo and ACME

There's always plenty of art for everyone who loves pop culture, particularly art involving Star Wars and Indiana Jones. But any new addition is always welcome, most especially if they're from two of the biggest companies in the industry.

Well, pop culture art company Mondo has just announced that it is teaming up with ACME Archives to create new posters for the upcoming Indiana Jones and Star Wars movies.

We don't even have to wait too long.

This week, Mondo already released the first new poster brought by the collaboration. The poster titled "Red-5" is a profile of Luke Skywalker by Mike Mitchell. The 12 x 16-inch giclee piece will go on sale for 72 hours starting tomorrow, March 17 at 1PM ET / 10AM PT.

If you're not convinced why this particular news is huge, Mondo's artists include many of the best in the pop culture community. The company has been popular for years because of their artists' unique movie posters. They have created movie posters from Brazil to Blade Runner.

Take a look at previous Star Wars posters from Mondo:

Trio from Mondo's previous collection (Olly Moss / Mondo)

Steampunk-Inspired Vader (Rob Jones / Mondo, 2010)

Cantina Fight (Martin Ansin / Mondo)

GNK droid portrait (Jeff Soto / Mondo, 2010)

Indiana Jones is a first for the company until this ACME partnership, which will allow them to create posters for properties that ACME Archives has licenses for, including The X-Files and Dreamworks Animation projects.

Recently, Mondo started exploring other products such as vinyl soundtracks.

Meanwhile, Acme is known for consistently creating stunning yet undervalued art on the Internet.

Here are two pieces by Acme's Brian Rood that recently went on sale (not in conjunction with the Mondo partnership):

There's always a constant supply of Star Wars art on the internet, but I can't say the same for Indiana Jones. It's been a long time since the last Indy movie came out. I'm so excited to see some new art involving the legendary archaeologist.
