Avengers: Infinity War Will Explore Nebula and Thanos' Relationship

Avengers: Infinity War is going to be huge, there's no doubt about that. In the first trailer, we've already seen a massive battle in Wakanda with the Avengers, as well as a possible squash match between Thanos and Spider-Man. However, there is one more personal battle that fans want to see; Nebula vs Thanos.

Karen Gillan recently spoke with GameSpot about Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and was able to discuss Nebula a bit, confirming that we would see more of her relationship with the Mad Titan Thanos during Infinity War.

"I am so invested in her whole backstory, her whole relationship with her sister, the relationship with her father that we're definitely going to explore in the movies that are coming out soon."

Gamora and Nebula's abusive relationship with Thanos was uncovered during Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and is easily the most underrated part of that film. We found out that Thanos was the one who turned Nebula into the cyborg-like being she is today, a punishment for constantly losing to Gamora. Nebula actually revealed that she lost on purpose a few times and was angry at Gamora for never doing the same.

While the two have patched things up, they both went their separate ways. However, with Thanos coming to Earth and Thor meeting the Guardians of the Galaxy, it's only a matter of time before these two sisters meet their father again. And it is definitely going to be one hell of a battle.

Avengers: Infinity War comes out on April 27. The sequel comes out on May 4, 2018.
