Avengers: Infinity War May See an Old Face

One of the Avengers' leading ladies may be returning by way of Avengers: Infinity War.

And no, it's still not Jane Foster, despite Natalie Portman's recent comments about going back to Marvel movies. It might be The Hulk's ladylove, Betty Ross, according to Telegraph.

The role was portrayed by Liv Tyler in The Incredible Hulk back in 2008. Since then, there hasn't even been a mention of the character in the Avengers films that followed or even whenever the Green Lug is around. This is unlike Foster's character, who even had a major role in Thor: The Dark World.

Still, at this point, Tyler reprising her role in The Hulk for the movie isn't all that surprising. Avengers: Infinity War is already set to become one of the most expensive films, given its revealed budget of £400 million (approx. $485 million).

Just recently, it was confirmed that shooting will start on Feb. 28, with areas in Scotland like Edinburgh, Glasgow, and the Highlands as the chosen locations.

Perhaps the only odd feeling for me here is the reminder that Tyler had been the ladylove for Edward Norton's version of The Hulk. I've long accepted that Mark Ruffalo fits the bill just as much, but incorporating The Incredible Hulk in such a direct manner, especially with a character who hasn't been featured or even touched on in the past films, will need a lot of good handling, story-wise.

Avengers: Infinity War will be out in theaters on May 4, 2018, with the second part expected the next year on May 3, 2019.
