Avengers Infinity War: James Gunn Likes A Tweet Teasing Netflix's Defenders

Avengers: Infinity War is yet again bringing a global threat to the MCU, and fans are Marvel Netflix are wondering: "Well, what will The Defenders have to do about this?" Paul Krueger has a hilarious scenario he pointed out (via Reddit), and Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn approves.

Fans who have been following the MCU and Marvel Netflix will know that there is a strong divide between the TV and cinema world. Sure the television shows reference the movies all the time, but the movies have barely had anything to say about the likes of Daredevil or The Punisher.

If you've seen Infinity War, you'll know that there's no way that Marvel Netflix can ignore such a massive threat like Thanos. I'm already wondering what crappy name the writers of the series are going to call the arrival of Thanos—"The Second Incident"?

How hard was it to say "The Battle of New York" as compared to "The Incident"?

For now, Netflix is still pushing forward with their Defenders stories, but with the first season being received so poorly, we have no updates on a Defenders 2. Here's hoping they brush of on their quality, so maybe the MCU will actually acknowledge them down the line.

Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters April 27.
