Avengers: Infinity War Is Now The Highest-Grossing Marvel Movie In Chinese Box Office

It looks like Avengers: Infinity War's made another mark at the box office.

After ten days of screening in China, the first film in Marvel's two-part Avengers movie has become the highest grossing Marvel movie of all time at the country's box office.

According to the Los Angeles Times, film consulting firm Artist Gateway has just confirmed that Infinity War managed to rake in $300.6 million after its first ten days in China, making it Marvel's highest grossing film in the country.

Thanks to the film's strong audience reviews Infinity War beat Avengers: Age of Ultron and Captain America: Civil War and has become the third highest imported 2018 film in China. Infinity War also beat the East Asian's popular romantic comedy How Long Will I Love You. Starring Tong Liya and Lei Jiayin, the film which challenged Infinity War at the box office managed to rake in $37 million during its first three days in cinemas.

Though succeeding at the Chinese box office can be quite a challenge for Hollywood films, it didn't come as a surprise that Infinity War would succeed in the East Asian country. The film's already been winning left and right, beating Star Wars: The Force Awakens at the domestic box office during its opening weekend and then beating Fate of the Furious at the global box office.

Right now the film sits with $1.84 billion at the global box office, making it the fourth highest grossing film of all time.

Avengers: Infinity War is currently screening in cinemas.
