Attack on Titan Season 2 Trailer Previews Beast Titan

For those who were still wondering if Attack on Titan's season 2 return on April 1 is still a joke, the guessing game is over.

The official website has already released another trailer teaser, this time putting the Beast Titan at the front and center. There's Mike Zacharias in that very crucial and insane confrontation with the other abnormal seemingly on his own.

We also get to glimpse the Titan that was trapped in the Wall, which was first hinted at in that cliffhanger scene at the end of season 1. This hints that non-manga readers will finally get to know the secrets that the Wall contains, and just what the Titans are.

There are also a lot of action involving fighting off Titans. There are a lot of abnormal Titans in the fray, including one that acts similar to Eren Jaeger in that it seems bent on attacking fellow Titans on their weak spot on the nape.

A lot of the secondary characters from last season are now in the limelight, with a new character Nanaba also seen in action. Of course, Attack on Titan will not be complete without Eren transforming into a Titan himself and facing off with the Armored Titan. The animation is still top-notch.

And that last scene—I haven't read the manga yet, but even I know that chilling moment for Mike. I just know this is going to be another sad season for the Survey Corps yet again. I have such high hopes for this anime.

Attack on Titan will premiere in Japan on April 1, with Funimation set to stream it as a same-day simulcast.
