Aquaman Screenwriter Teases a Lot of Good Fun for Solo & Justice League Movies

Two things that seem hard to find in one sentence are Jason Momoa's Aquaman and the word "fun." Anyone who has ever seen the trailer for the movie would know that his and Batman's meeting ended up with the latter pinned to the wall in a stare-down contest. And it's kind of obvious who's winning.

But in an interview with Collider, Aquaman screenwriter Will Beall shared that as far as tone was concerned, he could describe Aquaman's to be "fun."

"It's going to be fun, it's going to be really fun. What we've come up with and James [Wan] especially--he has a really clear idea of the tone he's going to have, and I think Aquaman is one that's going to blow people's minds, not just visually, but I think the story and the scope of it is really great."

Perhaps the fun here is that Aquaman can now overturn all of those sad blond teen-in-tights jokes around, now that Jason Momoa's playing the badass King of Atlantis.

The same fun tone can be said of Justice League, Beall shared. While his draft of the script wasn't used for Justice League, Beall stated that the fun factor was a bigger highlight compared to Batman v Superman.

DC Comics fans can watch out for two titles coming out this year. Wonder Woman is set for theaters on June 2, while Justice League premieres later this year on Nov. 16. Aquaman will be in theaters on Oct. 5, 2018.
