Aquaman Actor Trolls Fans WIth A 'Reveal' Of His Black Manta Costume

As of now, the only other DCEU movie under production besides Justice League is Aquaman, and it's set for a release late next year. Actor Yahya Abdul-Mateen II has been cast as villain Black Manta, and he has been posting up images of himself on Twitter in a makeshift Black Manta outfit fooling around his home.

He also posted up a video of himself on a desk with a bunch of Aquaman comics. The caption is interesting, however, because I'm starting to think it's part of his actual dialogue from the film. Then again, it could just be something he picked up from Justice League: Throne of Atlantis which is the movie he's apparently referring to in the video:

Just like Wonder Woman, Aquaman will actually be featuring more than one villain from the comics. Though Black Manta is a fan-favorite rogue, the main villain for the film is said to be Patrick Wilson's Ocean Master.

With a release date close to the end of 2018, I'm hoping DC is able to pump out at least one more movie somewhere in the middle of 2018. Multiple films are said to be in the works, and hopefully Flashpoint will get made in time for a release mid-2018.

Arthur Curry learns that he is the heir to the underwater kingdom of Atlantis, and must step forward to lead his people and to be a hero to the world.

Aquaman hits theaters Dec. 21, 2018. Justice League comes out Nov. 17 this year.
