Another Superhero Could Be Introduced In The Punisher Series

After the release of The Defenders, Marvel Netflix is now gearing up for the solo series of The Punisher which stars Jon Bernthal and is slated to come out later this year. Besides Punisher, however, it's said that there could be another superhero introduced in the show.

During the Asia Pop Comic-Con (via MCU Exchange), Marvel's senior VP of Creator and Content Development C.B. Cebulski revealed that "another Marvel hero may be showing up [in the Punisher]." He didn't go into any further details, but it's possible that we could be getting a whole new hero from the comics arriving in the series.

Some are guessing with the show's heavy draw from military experiences, this upcoming hero could be someone who has a military background in the comics. The only popular character that comes to mind is Marc Spector a.k.a. Moon Knight.

It's not the first time Marvel would have introduced a hero via another spinoff series. Jessica Jones did it first with the introduction of Luke Cage, and the Punisher himself was also introduced in the second season of Daredevil. With Marvel Netflix entering its own "Phase 2," I can see Moon Knight's presence as a possibility.

Of course, it's also entirely possible that the other hero appearing would be someone we already met like Luke Cage, Jessic Jones, or Iron Fist.

No official release date has been set for The Punisher, but we are sure to expect it later this year.
