Andy Muschietti Teases Start of Production for IT: Chapter 2

The reboot of Stephen King's IT came out to be one of the most successful horror movies of all time, and the sequel is set to come out in 2019. Andy Muschietti will be returning to direct, and he's started teasing the start of production for IT: Chapter 2.

Check it out:

The second part of the story will deal with the Derry kids 27 years later, with Pennywise returning to haunt everyone all over again. Seeing that the second half of the book is considered the weakest part, I'm interested to see what Muschietti has planned for the story.

Muschietti has said that though Pennywise's origin is that he's an alien, he will try to keep the mystery within his movies—after all, part of what makes Pennywise so scary is the fact that nobody knows that much about him. Hopefully we get a film that's not only filled with scares, but also has a lot of heart like the first film.

We still don't have that much updates on who will be playing the adult version of the Losers Club, but it has been said that Jessica Chastain has been in talks to play the adult Bev. Personally I want Chris Pratt to cameo as a grown-up Stan seeing that the actor in the first movie played a young Peter Quill in Guardians of the Galaxy.

IT: Chapter 2 comes out Sept. 6, 2019.
