American Gods: More Clips And Behind-The-Scenes Details In New Featurette

It's almost the end of April which means that we'll be getting Starz's adaptation of American Gods soon! A new featurette has been released, and it features all the actors — as well as Neil Gaiman himself — talking about the series and what we could expect from the show.

Personally, I'm very excited to see how Bryan Fuller plans to bring this show to life. I really liked his treatment for Hannibal, and I think his style is perfect for presenting the abstract concepts that were in the book.

To be honest, I was only able to pick up the book last year, but that was only because I was too stubborn to buy a copy for myself and I didn't have any friends who could lend me the book. I had a digital copy of American Gods as well, but nothing beats a good ol' book in bed. I'm guessing it's a 90s kid thing.

When Shadow Moon is released from prison, he meets the mysterious Mr. Wednesday and a storm begins to brew. Little does Shadow know, this storm will change the course of his entire life. Left adrift by the recent, tragic death of his wife, and suddenly hired as Mr. Wednesday's bodyguard, Shadow finds himself in the center of a world that he struggles to understand. It's a world where magic is real, where the Old Gods fear both irrelevance and the growing power of the New Gods, like Technology and Media. Mr. Wednesday seeks to build a coalition of Old Gods to defend their existence in this new America, and reclaim some of the influence that they've lost. As Shadow travels across the country with Mr. Wednesday, he struggles to accept this new reality, and his place in it.

American Gods premieres on Sunday, April 30 at 9 p.m. on Starz.
