Amber Heard Shows Behind The Scenes Photo From Aquaman Set

Later this year, DC fans will finally get to see Aquaman and Mera on screen when Justice League hits theaters. Now, Amber Heard, who's playing Mera in Justice League and next year's Aquaman film, has shared a new behind-the-scenes photo from the set of Aquaman, and it gives us a glimpse of what it takes for her to play the DC character.

The photo posted on her Twitter page shows her sitting on a makeup chair beside a stylist while reading an Aquaman comic book. It came with the caption: "Over a year of prep, 6 months of training, & countless hrs of denying myself pleasure, aka donuts, has led to this moment: Day 1. #Aquaman". It's incredible how much prep actors have to go through to play their comic book roles.

Justice League synopsis:

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman's selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Justice League is set to release in theaters on November 17, 2017; Aquaman will be released on July 27, 2017.
