Yesterday's Venom trailer was quite the sight to see, featuring some great special effects and a lot of symbiote action. This is the version of Venom fans were hoping to see in Spider-Man 3, so this is a long time coming for those that enjoy seeing the anti-hero in action. As if the awesome trailer wasn't enough, the Japanese poster for the movie continues to hype it up quite a bit.
While simple in execution, an up-close shot of Venom and his tongue is perfect for the movie, once again emphasizing how faithful the anti-hero's appearance will be. He may not have the white spider emblem but the white veins should be enough to make the character look cool.

It's still a bit surreal that we will be getting a movie based on the Spider-Man villain, even though Spidey himself won't be making an appearance. Rumors are persisting about Tom Holland having a cameo but we'll believe it when we see it.
Considering how well the trailer was received by the masses, this could be a hit for Sony if they play their cards right. The film is also expected to start a cinematic universe that will star plenty of Spider-Man supporting characters, not to mention a full-blown sequel to Venom that many are hoping Carnage will star in.
Venom comes out on October 5.
