Alex Ross Might Have Confirmed The Return Of The Fantastic Four

Hopes for the return of the Fantastic Four were seemingly dashed when Marvel Two in One was announced for Marvel Legacy. The new ongoing focuses on The Thing and Human Torch, the last two members of the Fantastic Four, as they team up to find out what's wrong with the fiery member. Now, thanks to veteran comic book artist Alex Ross, it looks like the final two members of the group could be returning in the near future.

The Kingdom Come artist posted a black and white picture of Mr. Fantastic and Invisible Woman, which has now been taken down. While sketches of the classic characters are nothing new, fans were caught off guard when the image showed them in new uniforms. Ross deleting the picture afterward is also quite telling, though it can still be seen in imgur.

Alex Ross just posted this is the First Family coming back?

Marvel Legacy did promise a big return, and bringing back Reed and Sue would be a nice moment for fans that miss Marvel's first family. After the December solicitations, it's easy to assume that the big return belongs to adult Jean Grey, but that hasn't been made clear. Bringing back Reed and Sue in the one-shot might be a bit of a stretch, especially with Marvel Two in One bring one of the ongoing books in December, but weirder things have happened.

The 50-page Marvel Legacy one-shot comes out next week, so fans can check it out and see who will be coming back. Marvel Two in One comes out in December.
