Alan Silvestri Returns To Score Avengers: Infinity War Films

Alan Silvestri, the composer behind the only memorable scores in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, is returning for both Avengers: Infinity War films.

The news was announced on Silvestri's official website, and with the news that the great Michael Giacchino is scoring the Doctor Strange film, it's likely that they're about to make the Marvel Cinematic Universe sound more epic. There are currently thirteen films set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but there are only a few scores that are memorable. This is one element that Warner Bros. and DC are doing better in their films. Man of Steel and Batman v Superman may not be great, but Hans Zimmer's Superman score is gloorious and bold while Marvel scores are mostly uninspiring.

Silvestria is a two-time Academy Award nominee who shared a great work over the years, including themes from Back to the Future, The Abyss, Predator, Forrest Gump, and Who Framed Roger Rabbit. He won an Emmy in 2014 for his work on the revival of Cosmos. That's great to know that he's back for the Avengers: Infinity War films.

The first Avengers: Infinity War film will be released on May 4, 2018.
