Adult Swim Rolling Out Rick And Morty VR Game To Celebrate 4/20

Earlier this month Adult Swim decided to ease off the anxiety on Rick and Morty fans' minds by releasing the very first episode of the third season of the brassy science fiction comedy series disguised as an April Fool's joke. Though they didn't give an official release date, the network also promised fans that the reason of the season would drop in the summer.

Now, as everyone continues to wait for the other episodes of Rick and Morty season 3, Adult Swim games and Owlchemy Labs prepare to release a virtual reality videogame based on the series. The developers are planning to roll Rick and Morty: Virtual Rick-ality a week from now, promising fans an exciting virtual reality experience as gamers get to tour around the Smith home as one of Rick's clones.

Players are required to complete missions and puzzles using VR tech in order to move forward through the game.

"It's actually the perfect overlap," Owlchemy Labs' Alex Schwartz told Polygon. "The game takes place in Rick's garage, and instantly you would associate all the things that are great about Job Simulator, all the near-field interactions ... Rick's garage is filled with tons of stuff to play with. Chemistry sets and just boxes of things on the shelves. Elements from the show. It's fully crammed in there."

Because it's a ball-tripping experience, the developers plan to release the game on April 20, because what better to celebrate weed than to "get schwifty," yes? Available to play on HTC Vive through Steam and on Oculis Rift through the Oculus Home, Virtual Rick-ality is a great way to fill your days while waiting for the release of the rest of Rick and Morty season 3.
