A Series of Unfortunate Events Outdoes Luke Cage’s Performance on Netflix

Luke Cage has just been outdone by Netflix's adaptation of A Series of Unfortunate Events.

Netflix's rendition of Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events did very well on its opening week on the online streaming platform, with The Wrap revealing that the series now sits on top of the site's charts. Moving well past Marvel's Luke Cage, the series just follows behind heavier Netflix original series like season 1 of Fuller House, season 4 of Orange is the New Black and of course the Gilmore Girls revival.

Apparently A Series of Unfortunate Events managed to nab more than 3.755 million adults in the 18-49 age range. That's a little bit higher than Luke Cage, which raked in 3.388 million and season 2 of Daredevil which reeled in 3.201 million adult viewers.

While it may come as a surprise to Marvel fans how the Lemony Snicket series managed to move right past some of its most well-received television series, people will have to understand that many have been waiting for the television adaptation of A Series of Unfortunate Events for quite some time. With great early reviews and a lot of positive talk going around, it seems like the series will continue enjoying its viewership.
