A New Shiny Pokemon’s Been Discovered On Pokemon Go’s Servers

It looks like Pokemon Go gamers might be getting a new Shiny Pokemon soon.

Niantic's augmented reality gaming app has been slowly adding new Shiny Pokemon this year, bringing in shiny versions of Magikarp, Gyarados, the various versions of Pikachu (Pichu, Pikachu, Raichu) as well as a number of Ghost Pokemon.

Now, it seems like a dataminer on The Silph Road on Reddit has just uncovered a 3D asset for a Shiny version of Pokemon Go's Cleffa hidden away on the game's server.

Pokemon Go gamers shouldn't celebrate just yet though.

Niantic doesn't seem to be ready to add the Shiny Cleffa into the game, seeing how only the 3D asset of the Shiny Pokemon's been made live. The dataminer also hasn't found any Shiny versions of Cleffa's evolved forms like Clefairy and Clefable, so it's likely that Niantic's still working on the Shiny Pokemon and its family.

There's also the possibility that the Shiny Pokemon could be scrapped. After all, dataminers have found Shiny Pokemon assets in the game's servers before, only to find in time that they've gone unused so far. There's no telling when Niantic's going to make the Shiny Pokemon live, but all of Pokemon Go's Legendary Pokemon and the Gastly family have Shiny variants sitting on the game's server.

Let's just wait and see whether Shiny Cleffa gets added into the game this weekend.
