Netflix has released a new trailer for a new sci-fi animated film called Next Gen. Described as being about a "bittersweet power of memories," the film tells an "unlikely friendship between a rebellious girl and a runaway combat robot, as they unite to stop a madman's plan for technological world domination."

I'm glad that Netflix is releasing more original animated films like this. It reminds me of Disney's Big Hero 6 and Alita: Battle Angel. The visuals of the animation look great, and the story seems to have a lot of heart in it.
The film was directed by Kevin Adams and Joe Ksander.
Next Gen has a stellar voice cast that includes Charlyne Yi, John Krasinski, David Cross, Jason Sudeikis, Michael Peña, and Constance Wu. The film will be released on Netflix on September 7.
