2K Studios is Working on Another Bioshock Game

It's been more than five years since the release of Bioshock: Infinite, and after the closing of Irrational Games, a lot of fans thought that was it for the possibility of another Bioshock game. Apparently, there's another entry in the works, and the game is apparently top secret.

The news comes from Kotaku's Jason Schreier shared the information after taking a look at Hangar 13:

Though Bioshock 2 did give us a return to the world of Rapture, Bioshock: Infinite totally turned the sequel game over its head, presenting us with new characters, a new world, and a different type of gameplay. The central theme for the game is even flipped with the villains now embracing religion over Rand-ian idealism. Besides the lighthouse in the end, you wouldn't even relate Bioshock and Bioshock: Infinite until the storyline of the DLC, Burial at Sea.

Though I can imagine some fans wanting to come back to the floating city of Colombia or even Rapture, I think it would be amazing if the game managed to bring us to another retro-futuristic world blended together with a thought-provoking story. After the follow-up that was Bioshock: Infinite, you can't expect the next title to simply be Bioshock: Infinite 2. I'd be welcome for a reference to either Booker or Elizabeth though.

No official announcement has been made for a new Bioshock game.
