21st Century Fox Reportedly Prefers Disney Above Other Buyers

Disney might have some competition in the acquisition of 21st Century Fox and 21st Century Fox TV, however, reports indicate that the Mickey Mouse House is the studio's preferred buyer.

According to Bloomberg, though Sony and Comcast have put their name into the bid for 21st Century Fox and its different assets, the studio would rather much sell its movie and TV assets to Disney instead of global telecommunications conglomerate, Comcast.

Apparently, Disney is being perceived as the buyer of choice because it seems like selling the studio's assets to the Hollywood powerhouse seems to be "a better strategic fit" which seems to "present(s) fewer regulatory hurdles."

That's not all. Another benefit of selling the studio to Disney is the fact that 21st Century Fox's current CEO, James Murdoch, will be able to join Disney's executives if the sale does push through. Though it isn't certain when exactly the deal will push through, Bloomberg's report indicates that Fox's Murdoch family is just waiting for a deal with the right price and structure.

This is definitely good news for Marvel fans. There's been a lot of excitement over the potential sale – 21st Century Fox joining Disney would mean that popular comic book characters like the X-Men, Fantastic Four, and Deadpool can all head right home to Marvel after so long. Let's just wait and see what happens with the negotiations.
