13 Reasons Why Star Wants To Play Yoda In A Star Wars Spinoff

There's been a lot of hopes going around for an Obi-Wan Kenobi or Boba Fett standalone now that Lucasfilm is planning a few more spinoffs for the Star Wars franchise. However 13 Reasons Why star Christian Navarro has another proposal for Lucasfilm – a Yoda-centered spinoff that has him playing the role of one of Star Wars' greatest Jedi.

Though it might be a stretch, Tony Padilla actor Christian Navarro really wants to play Yoda in a Star Wars movie someday. Not just because he's a big fan of the series, but also because followers of the well-received television series 13 Reasons Why have also begun viewing him as Yoda. Speaking in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Navarro explains:

"I love these memes. It's like my face on Yoda's body. I'm a Star Wars nerd, I'm a geek, so I love it."

The star has been associated with Yoda ever since his character Tony's been called in "unhelpful Yoda" in the series and Navarro thinks it'd be great if he'd actually be able to star as Yoda in the Jedi Master's very own standalone movie.

"I want to be in Star Wars. Help me out. People want it. I think if they do like a Yoda origin story. Right, like I'm already five foot nothing. If you just put green make-up on me, you can do it."

A five-foot Yoda's still pretty tall though. If Navarro actually does get the chance to play the Jedi master in a spinoff, he'd most likely have to work with CGI or puppets and work with his voice.
