Every Marvel Studios Movie Confirmed After Avengers: Infinity War

After a decade of painstaking buildup, the Marvel Cinematic Universe truly unleashed the beast with Avengers: Infinity War. However, now that the post-Infinity War hangover is finally starting to fade away, many fans are left wondering what else is in the pipeline.

Well, we here at Epicstream can help you with that!

To keep things simple, though, we’ll only be focusing on films that are 100 percent confirmed. That means we won’t bring up the ones we can almost guarantee we’re getting but aren’t locked in yet, like Black Panther 2, or the ones that are still in their infancy, but not definitive, like The Eternals.

Now that we’ve gotten those caveats out of the way, here is every Marvel Studios movie confirmed after Avengers: Infinity War:

  1. Ant-Man and the Wasp

    Release Date: July 6, 2018

    Director: Peyton Reed

Now that fans have essentially had their souls sucked out by Infinity War, a palate cleanser is certainly in order. Thankfully, we have one right around the corner in the form of Ant-Man and the Wasp. The lighthearted nature of the film will be an excellent change of pace after such an emotionally draining blockbuster like Infinity War, and the fact that it takes place before the events of that movie means fans can hopefully forget about the dire situation the MCU’s remaining heroes are in, if only for two short hours.

  2. Captain Marvel

    Release Date: March 8, 2019

    Directors: Anna Boden, Ryan Fleck

Another film set pre-Infinity War – though one that’s likely to have bigger ramifications for the MCU’s future – is Captain Marvel. The story takes place in the 1990s and will see the return of such familiar faces as Clark Gregg’s Agent Coulson, Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury, Lee Pace’s Ronan the Accuser, and Djimon Hounsou’s Korath. Furthermore, it will introduce the original Captain Marvel – Mar-Vell – to the MCU, courtesy of Jude Law, as well as the fan-favorite shape-shifting Skrulls. It’s exactly the sort of cosmic fare fans will be craving just two short months before the next Marvel Studios film…

  3. Untitled Avengers Sequel

    Release Date: May 3, 2019

    Directors: Joe and Anthony Russo

After the jaw-dropping cliffhanger finale of Infinity War, none of us really know what to expect from the yet-to-be-titled fourth Avengers film. Of course, we certainly have theories, but few things are set in stone. We do, however, know that the majority of the characters from Infinity War will be reprising their roles (some potentially for the final time) and that characters who received little to no screen time in this film will be given more time to shine. Plus, we have Captain Marvel’s first interaction with Earth’s Mightiest Heroes to look forward to.

  4. Untitled Spider-Man: Homecoming Sequel

    Release Date: July 5, 2019

    Director: Jon Watts

In case there was any doubt that Tom Holland’s Peter Parker/Spider-Man will return following his death in Infinity War, the fact that he’ll be starring in a sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming just two months after Avengers 4 should put you at ease. Additionally, Homecoming director Jon Watts will be returning for the web-slinger’s second solo MCU outing, but at this time, nothing is known about the plot of the film.

  5. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3

    Release Date: 2020

    Director: James Gunn

Although we have no idea what the landscape of the team will look like, we do know that the Guardians of the Galaxy will return to the big screen at some point in 2020. Obviously, the events of Avengers 4 will shed some light on which team members will be returning. However, it’s also strongly believed that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will see the MCU debut of Adam Warlock, unless plans have changed and he shows up in Avengers 4 first. Either way, expect him to factor into the film in some capacity.
