BB-8, the new droid of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, is getting a lot of hype right now, but fans know that R2-D2 still rocks. An Italian modeller decided to upgrade the iconic droid into something uniquely monstrous.
Lemcat reformatted a Hi-Mock Gundam model kit to create a "Hi2-D2 advanced automech" droid. This R2-D2/Gundam mash-up has beefed up arms and legs, and it looks like it could fight a Hulkbuster.
