Doug Liman's Edge of Tomorrow was definitely one of the coolest films and most underrated I've seen last year. It had some unique ideas, and there are some hilarious scenes with Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt. Sadly, it didn't get the attention it deserved, but I highly recommend it if you haven't seen it yet.
