Comic Book Artist Creates Amazing Samurai Versions of Star Wars: The Force Awakens Characters

Star Wars fans are one of the most dedicated fans in the cinematic universe.

A few days ago, we reported a teenager who created his own fully-working BB-8 droid out of homemade materials. We also showed you a woodwork artist who made an exceptionally-detailed wood version of a Millenium Falcon.

Most recently, another artist named Nikolas A. Draper-Ivey  has captured the attention of many after creating a bunch of badass samurai versions of some of Star Wars: The Force Awakens characters.

Check out his awesome work on Star Wars below.

Here’s an armed Samurai Taichou Phasma. Draper-Ivey even pointed out how Samurais once used firearms.

This one’s incredibly cool, an Ashigaru Nines creation where the artist mashed the Jutte, Tonfa and Katana in a single weapon.

The last one is my favorite, a dog version of BB-8! So adorable.

All of Nikolas’ reimaginings on some characters of The Force Awakens are incredibly creative. I can’t wait to see more of his work on other characters especially of the original trilogy.

See more of his incredible art on his Tumblr, Facebook, and Instagram pages.
