X-Men Director Bryan Singer Shares Another Photo Of Rami Malek As Freddie Mercury

With Bryan Singer taking a break from directing X-Men movies, he's working on this biopic centered on the life of Freddie Mercury and the rest of Queen. Mr. Robot's Rami Malek has been cast as Mercury, and Singer gives us a cool BTS look of Malek in character.

The movie is said to cover a 15-year span from 1970 to 85 ending with Queen's Live Aid performance. So far, the only Queen member that is getting all the attention is Mercury. Some other fans have yet to get good looks at Bruan May (Gwilym Lee), John Deacon (Joe Mazzello), and Roger Taylor (Ben Hardy).

Though Malek seems to have gotten the body language right, a lot of people are curious about how he sounds when he sings. His performance is said to be a mix of his own singing as well as Mercury's trademark vocals. I guess we'll just have to wait for a first trailer to get a taste of his performance.

Personally, I'm not a huge fan of Singer's new X-Men films and I kind of wish that they kept Matthew Vaughn after he directed X-Men: First Class. Now Simon Kinberg is directing Dark Phoenix, but the only Fox/Marvel property that I'm really looking forward to is Deadpool 2. Who knows, maybe Dark Phoenix will change my mind.

Bohemian Rhapsody is slated for a release on Christmas day of 2018.
