Wonder Woman 2 Set Photo Reportedly Confirms Chris Pine’s Return

It might seem a bit strange, but there have been rumors going around that Chris Pine would be reprising his role as Steve Trevor in Patty Jenkin's Wonder Woman 2. Early in April this year, the Wonder Woman sequel's production sheet made its way online, offering a list of actors involved in the film, one of which includes Pine.

Now, it looks like DC fans just might have some confirmation that the Star Trek star will be reprising his role for Wonder Woman 2. Supposedly spotted on the set of the upcoming sequel to the DCEU's successful Wonder Woman standalone movie, Pine can be seen in a picture posted by a fan on Instagram.

Though the man in the white shirt seems a bit too far to make any clear confirmation, the fan who posted the photo on Instagram claims that the Wonder Woman actor was on scene for Wonder Woman 2.

Though Pine did a pretty great job in the original Wonder Woman, fans wonder exactly how Pine would reprise his role for Wonder Woman 2. In the first film, Steve Trevor sacrificed himself by flying a plane full of explosives away from land. It was a pretty dramatic scene – even Diana (Gal Gadot) went wild after seeing the plane explode in the sky.

Though some are expecting Wonder Woman 2 to reveal a twist of fate, it's more likely that Steve Trevor would be featured in a flashback scene instead of returning from the dead. Bringing the character back after his poignant death in the original Wonder Woman.

Wonder Woman 2 is set to premiere on November 1, 2019.
