Fans have long been waiting for one of the scariest high-ranking Viltrumites to make her debut in the series. But despite her imposing presence, why can't Anissa kill Invincible? What made her hold back?

How Stronger is Anissa Compared to Invincible? Is She More Powerful Than Omni-Man?
Anissa is one of the most powerful high-ranking Viltrumite warriors in existence in the Invincible comic books, and season 2 episode 7 marks her official debut in the animated series.
The first thing she does upon landing on Earth is threaten Mark Grayson that she'd kill his girlfriend, Amber, if he doesn't hear her reason for coming.
Of course, Mark is forced to comply for fear that his girlfriend might get in trouble. While it remains to be seen how strong Anissa is, she's definitely quicker than Omni-Man.
Apart from her superhuman strength, speed, stamina, and invulnerable Viltrumite skin, the only thing that makes her much more terrifying is that, as fans realized, she was still holding back her full power at Invincible:
In the middle of Anissa's proposal, Invincible was tasked to save the people on the cruise ship that an underwater Kaiju was attacking. Anissa decides to follow suit to see just how strong Nolan's son really is.
Much to her disappointment, Invincible couldn't even kill the monster within seconds. He wasn't even able to save the people on the cruise ship from terror.
She takes matters into her own hands. In one fell swoop, she simply went speeding through the Kaiju's body, killing it instantly.

So, Why Can't Anissa Kill Invincible?
Don't get her wrong. Anissa could've easily punched a hole through Invincible's face without trying, as she's much more ruthlessly portrayed in the original comic books.
But here's what made her pull back from executing Mark Grayson.
Right when Anissa has Invincible right under her feet, the Earthling hero decides to roll his dice by saying, "Do it. Either you need me or you don't."
Even though Anissa weighs a heavier step on his neck, she leaves him alive and beaten up. As she looks down on him, she tells Invincible, "Killing you is not my task."
Anissa isn't talking about the matter of strength and power between them, but rather a test of how long Mark intends to resist his fate of conquering Earth for the Viltrumites to "save" the human race.
Anissa then proceeds to warn Invincible that another will come back on Earth, "If he finds you still resistant to your destiny, he will demonstrate the error of your ways, and this whole planet will pay the price."
