Ninja Kamui is a new anime by Sunghoo Park, the director of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 1 and The God of High School. This is the first anime series by Park’s new studio, E&H Production.
This is not a typical anime series as it’s co-produced by Sola Entertainment, not to mention that it airs on Adult Swim weekly.
What makes it interesting is that it’s an original anime that follows the former ninja Joe Higan who goes into hiding in rural America. There, he is ambushed, and his family is murdered for Joe’s betrayal.
The anime is only in its second episode, but it has already gotten a lot of attention with its impressive animation. Soon, fans can also look forward to an upcoming game based on the series.
All the Ninja Kamui: Shinobi Origins Game Details So Far
Back in January, Warner Bros. Discovery revealed the official release date of the Ninja Kamui anime. In their press release, it was also revealed that the Ninja Kamui: Shinobi Origins game is in the works.
Not much was shared about the game in the press release. Last week though, Warner Bros. Discovery executive Jason DeMarco mentioned on his personal X account that Shinobi Origins will be a prequel.
Aside from this detail about the game’s story, there’s no word yet on other information. Thus, it’s not clear yet if the game will be released for consoles or mobile devices. There’s also no info on its gameplay.

When Is Ninja Kamui Shinobi Origins Coming Out? Release Window Confirmed
What we do know is that Ninja Kamui: Shinobi Origins is set to be released in the second quarter of 2024.
Thus, the game is currently set to launch between April to June 2024. Of course, this is just a target release window as there may be delays, especially considering there are no other details about it yet.
In the meantime, fans can watch new episodes of Ninja Kamui weekly on Adult Swim, with new episodes being streamed on Max on the following day.
Some Fans Are Concerned about the Ninja Kamui Game’s Status
While the second quarter of 2024 has only just started, some fans are concerned about the game's status.
Aside from there being no official reveal of the game yet, some Adult Swim games are reportedly being taken down.
For instance, the Small Radios Big Televisions game will be retired by Warner Bros. Discovery.
With this, some Ninja Kamui fans are wondering about how this will affect the Shinobi Origins game's release.
