What Korg Looked Like Behind The Scenes In Thor: Ragnarok

Thor: Ragnarok might have had a few tonal issues, but there's no doubt that it was an enjoyable film filled with good jokes and awesome fight scenes. While Thor, Hulk, and Loki were the main focus, fans soon fell in love with the enormous yet soft-spoken Korg, who was played by director Taika Waititi. Some might say that he just voiced the character, but that isn't entirely the case as the actor/director had to wear some motion capture technology.

Photographer Jasin Boland shared a BTS photo of Waititi wearing the impressive motion capture technology needed to CGI Korg in later. Waititi added some comments to the photo as well, saying "Try directing when you look like this. Btw this @DonCheadle's mocap suit. #warmachine #korgmachine."

Korg easily became the standout character of the film, with many fans hoping he will come back in the future. Whether he pops up in Infinity War or stars in a rumored Marvel One-Shot is still uncertain, but there's no doubt that the character needs to return somehow. Considering how vanilla his character was in the original source material - think honorable warrior stereotype #678 - Waititi's interpretation is a step up.

Thor: Ragnarok is currently in theaters.
