Westworld Season 3 Officially Announced, Male and Female Actors Getting Equal Pay

To the surprise of no one, Westworld is getting a third season on HBO. This isn't a complete shock to fans since it the program is of high quality and gets plenty of positive coverage. It's arguably the second most popular program on HBO next to Game of Thrones, which is no easy feat.

Considering how HBO has only aired two of the ten episodes of the show's second season, the sudden announcement of the news is kind of humorous. Still, the earlier the better for some fans and it will be interesting to see what the creators have in store for viewers when the third season hits.

What's arguably the best part about this is the fact that all of the actors will be given equal pay. The gender pay gap is still prominent unfortunately but thanks to HBO's new pay initiative, Evan Rachel Wood, and Thandie Newton will be getting paid just as much as their male counterparts.

Anyone expecting a release date is fresh out of luck since none was announced. No specific release date or window was mentioned, so it's too early to say if the show will be back by 2019. With the show's high production values and stellar writing, we might have to wait until 2020 or more, though fans have been surprised before.

Westworld season two is now showing on HBO.
