Watch Rick And Morty Creator Justin Roiland Get Drunk To Record His Lines

No doubt that Rick and Morty is probably one of the biggest animated shows today, and that’s thanks to co-creators Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon. Apparently, in an upcoming episode for season three, Rick will get ridiculously drunk, and Harmon thought it was a good idea to have Roiland actually make himself intoxicated while recording the lines. The result is this hilarious BTS video:

As you can see, Roiland getting drunk actually resulted into one of the most unproductive recording sessions they ever had for the show. You can watch associate producer Sydney Ryan trying her best to get Roiland to do some actual work.

It’s pretty fun to watch, and it’s great to see the steps the creators are taking to bring this show to life. When it comes to animation, Rick and Morty is one of the pioneers when it comes to improv playing a part in making the show. I mean, how hilarious are those multiverse TV episodes?
