Watch Jason Momoa Perform The Haka With His Kids At Aquaman Premiere

There is little doubt that Jason Momoa can be intimidating without much effort. Nevertheless, the DC Extended Universe star proved it once again by performing the haka with his children at the Aquaman premiere.

The haka is a ceremonial dance performed by the Māori to fulfill social functions. Although it is mostly associated with battle preparations, the haka is also performed to celebrate great achievements. Perhaps like the premiere of a highly anticipated standalone film for a character who is undoubtedly Māori. So it's no surprise that Momoa brought in some friends as well as his two children to perform at Aquaman's Los Angeles premiere.

Momoa's daughter Lola, 11, and son Nakoa-Wolf, 9 proudly joined their father in the performance. Their mother Lisa Bonet stood by and cheered them on as Momoa broke his character's trident in half. Needless to say, it's an intimidating yet awesome performance that gets you pumped up for the film.

The haka might also be a tribute to Momoa's co-star Temuera Morrison, who is from New Zealand and proudly Māori. Morrison plays Arthur Curry's father Thomas in the film.

The movie also stars Amber Heard as Mera, Willem Defoe as Nuidis Vulko, Patrick Wilson as Orm, Dolph Lundgren as Nereus, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as David Kane/Black Manta, and Nicole Kidman as Queen Atlanna. Preacher actor Graham McTavish has recently been confirmed to play King Atlan, the first king of Atlantis while Julie Andrews provides the voice of the ancient leviathan known as the Karathen.

Aquaman hits theaters on December 21.
