It's no secret that the DC Extended Universe is one convoluted mess with the exception of films that are actually pretty good. Now, it's well-documented that the franchise's failure to hit the mark with fans and critics doesn't have anything to do with the directors but instead Warner Bros. getting a little too involved with the creative direction of the projects.

The release of Zack Snyder's Justice League and its eventual success pretty much solidified that the problem is in fact happening within the confines of WB and naturally, fans are demanding to see more of the director's actual vision play out on the big screen. Unfortunately, the studio seems to be adamant about moving forward with their own plans for the franchise and as it stands, WB may finally get its way with things.

However, despite the triumph of the Snyder Cut, a new report from Small Screen states that WB is totally disappointed with the SnyderVerse as a whole which is probably why they have no plans to restore the universe which would've spawned Justice Leagues 2 & 3, Ben Affleck's solo Batman film and Man of Steel 2 among other projects amid the growing fan demand.

I've said this countless times in the past, if Warner Bros. executives truly know what's best for the DCEU, they should listen to the fans and give them what they want. They have long been taking a page out of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's playbook but fail to realize that it's not the tone of their movies they should be replicating. It's the idea the Marvel Studios is in touch with its audience.

Meanwhile, Zack Snyder's Justice League is still streaming on HBO Max.
