Two Possible Titles For Star Wars: Episode VIII Revealed

While production for Star Wars: Episode VIII is under way, it can't be helped that numerous rumors would circulate the internet about the upcoming film. Latest word on the grapevine are two possible titles for the Rian Johnson-directed sequel.

The first potential title was revealed last month via Reddit. According to the Reddit post, the title Star Wars: Tale of the Jedi Temple will be revealed during Star Wars' yearly celebration on the fourth of May. The photo (as shown below) is still on Facebook, but it had already been deleted from Reddit.

Meanwhile, the second potential title is Star Wars: The Order of the Dark Side. This title comes from Croatian fan site MOS Croatia. Their report claimed the following:

We have already speculated that Dubrovnik will be the planet of Luke Skywalker, and now this has been unofficially confirmed by sources close to the production.

I admit both titles sound plausible. Though I think The Order of the Dark Side is a cooler title, Tale of the Jedi Temple seems more feasible since there's a high chance of Rey being trained by Luke Skywalker at the Jedi Temple in Episode VIII.

Disney hasn't commented on any of the two titles, but it's highly likely that Johnson will be making an official announcement for the title sometime around November this year. J.J. Abrams announced the official title for Episode VII on November 2014, which is 13 months before the December 2015 release of The Force Awakens. Hopefully, as months go by, more substantial info trickles out regarding Episode VIII, especially since Daisy Ridley herself confirmed Johnson being "cheekier" than Abramswhen it comes to his approach in making the Star Wars film.

Star Wars: Episode VIII, codenamed Space Bear, will begin filming in Croatia on the 9th and will end on the 16th. It is slated for release on December 15, 2017.
