The internet has been quite mean to Zack Snyder ever since the release of Batman v Superman, and the director has been getting a lot of flak for being the masthead of the DC movie franchise; all of this was put to a stop, however, when it was revealed that Snyder's daughter had commited suicide in March, and the tragedy has lead Snyder to drop out of Justice League and let Joss Whedon take over.

Other than Geoff Johns, Patty Jenkins, and James Wan, Guardians of the Galaxy's James Gunn has offered his respects, even Doctor Strange director Scott Derrickson. Legendary artist Jim Lee has also paid tribute to Snyder.
Snyder's departure from Justice League has certainly left mixed emotions from the fans. Though some are happy that Joss Whedon will be taking over, they certainly didn't want something this tragic to happen to Snyder and his family. Hopefully Snyder will be able to get back on his feet soon.
Most of principal photography is finished for Justice League, and Joss Whedon will only be taking over some slight reshoots. Rest assured, the style and vision of Snyder for Justice League will be kept intact.
