Tony Stark Isn't Ready To Die In New Avengers: Endgame TV Spot

There is little doubt that the Marvel Cinematic Universe somehow started with Tony Stark. But could Avengers: Endgame also mean the end for Iron Man? Tony clearly isn't ready to die in the film's new TV spot.

The Summer Begins TV spot opens with Tony telling Steve Rogers that they are "trying to pull off something that is damn near impossible." However, he is still hoping that he will survive the mission. "And to not die trying would be nice," he finishes, making Captain America smile.

There's more footage in the video, including Captain Marvel in her binary form and Ant-Man being swatted off of Tony's shoulder. These new scenes are certainly more lighthearted but that doesn't mean that the TV spot ends on a high note. It still concludes with Iron Man, Captain America, and Thor approaching the seemingly defeated Thanos, but appearances can be deceiving. Does the Mad Titan still have something up his sleeve?

Endgame is directed by Joe and Anthony Russo. The film stars Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Evans as Captain America, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/the Hulk, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye/Ronin, Don Cheadle as War Machine, Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, Brie Larson as Captain Marvel, Danai Gurira as Okoye, Karen Gillan as Nebula, and Bradley Cooper as Rocket Raccoon. Josh Brolin will also return as Thanos in the highly anticipated film.

The synopsis for Endgame reads as follows:

"The grave course of events set in motion by Thanos that wiped out half the universe and fractured the Avengers ranks compels the remaining Avengers to take one final stand in Marvel Studios' grand conclusion to twenty-two films, Avengers: Endgame."

Avengers: Endgame will hit theaters on April 26.
