Tom Holland Confirms Marvel’s Plans For A Spider-Man Trilogy

Marvel has yet to release Spider-Man: Homecoming, however, despite not knowing the turn-out of the film it seems like the studio is planning on rolling out another two films after releasing its first movie for Spidey.

Homecoming star Tom Holland just recently spoke with Allocine on Facebook about his first feature film as Marvel's friendly neighborhood Spider-Man and in the interview with the publication, the young British star confirmed that the studio was planning to build an entire trilogy for Peter Parker.

"There is still a lot of room for Peter Parker and Spider-Man especially to grow in the next two movies. He's definitely not the finished article by the end of Spider-Man: Homecoming and I really look forward to exploring the different ways he can grow up and go through puberty I guess. It's going to be an exciting couple of movies… Yeah, there'll be Spider-Man 2 and 3, it won't be Homecoming 2 and 3."

Knowing that he'd get into trouble with Marvel for letting the info on the trilogy slip, Holland gave a cool "Sorry Marvel, whoops" and pretended to be taken down by snipers. Though the British actor is certainly going to get a talking, it's great to have official confirmation that fans will be getting more of Peter Parker after Homecoming.

Spider-Man: Homecoming swings into cinemas on July 7, 2017.
