Titans Premiere Episode Features Surprising Cameo From [SPOILER]

Dick Grayson might be looking for a way to step out of his mentor's shadow in Titans. However, the first episode already confirms that Batman is never far away from his thoughts.

The first two episodes of DC Universe's Titans have been unveiled at the New York Comic-Con. Not surprisingly, a familiar character immediately made an appearance in the premiere episode Titans.

Spoilers Ahead For Titans Season 1 Episode 1! You Have Been Warned!

In Titans, Raven (Teagan Croft) somehow senses why Dick (Brenton Thwaites) is so secretive. She touches his hand and leads the viewers into Dick's past. It is revealed that after his parents' death, Dick was approached by a man who put a hand on his shoulder and said, "I want to help you."

The memories also feature a glimpse at Wayne Manor and a hand-written letter from Bruce Wayne to his sidekick. Although some might argue that the hand on Dick's shoulder doesn't belong to Batman, the aforementioned shots make it quite obvious. Needless to say, it's confirmed that Dick still has Bruce in his mind.

Although Batman's cameo might seem unnecessary considering this is a Titans story, it's difficult not to address Dick's strained relationship with his mentor. It is still unclear if Bruce will be making a full cameo in the series. However, there is a possibility that Bruce will be away to allow Dick to interact with Jason Todd, who has already boasted about driving the Batmobile.

The second episode Hawk and Dove focuses on Hank Hall (Alan Richter) and Dawn Granger (Minka Kelly), which conveniently leads the story away from Dick's troubled past. Hopefully, the series will try to focus on the Titans rather than complicate things by trying to introduce Batman in a new way.

Titans Season 1 Episode 1 will air on DC Universe on October 12.
