Timothée Chalamet and Warner Bros. have inked a multi-year deal with Chalamet to collaborate on future projects as a star and producer.

Last December, Wonka earned $632 million globally, and the recent Dune: Part Two has earned $575 million globally and is still enjoying a successful run at theatres.

This deal will put the actor into an even higher tax bracket, even though he earned reportedly over $8 million for Wonka.

According to Variety, as part of the first-look agreement, Chalamet has the freedom to make movies elsewhere. However, Warner Bros. will have the first opportunity to back his potential projects, ensuring a steady stream of high-quality content for the studio.

Warner Bros. Mike De Luca and Pam Abdy said they were “thrilled that [Chalamet] has chosen our studio to be his creative home.”

“Over the last few years, we have admired not only Timothée’s commitment to his craft, which is evident in the range and depth of his varied roles but also his unwavering dedication to give 100% of his time and attention to every project he has made here at Warner Bros. and elsewhere,” they said in a joint statement. “His collaboration on the campaigns for ‘Dune’ and ‘Wonka’ is something we all enjoyed immensely, and the results speak for themselves.”

The freedom for such a young actor (28) to have this level of creative control is unheard of in recent times. However, given Chalamet's extraordinary box office performance and his distinction as the youngest Best Actor Oscar nominee in 80 years, it's safe to say that this deal is not just well deserved but a testament to his exceptional talent and potential.

His other accolades include an Academy Award, three Golden Globe Awards, three British Academy Film Awards, five Screen Actors Guild Awards, and five Critics' Choice Movie Awards.

Chalamet is set to star as the legendary Bob Dylan in A Complete Unknown, a biopic based on the controversy surrounding Dylan's switch to electrically amplified instrumentation.
