Thor: Ragnarok Will See a Loki Comeback

We may have missed him in Avengers: Age of Ultron, but it seems that we'll be seeing Tom Hiddleston reprising his role as the mischievous trickster god Loki in Thor: Ragnarok.

The actor wasted no time in teasing fans through his Instagram. There's that coy snapshot of him in the signature Loki locks and a glimpse of the gold accents of his Asgardian costume. It's hard to miss his teaser, especially since it's the only post in his account so far.

Hiddleston has played Loki three times to date. He first appeared as brother and antagonist in Thor, where it was revealed that he was actually of Frost descent. Then he appeared in Marvel's The Avengers, where he was yet another antagonist who received a beating from The Hulk.

Finally, in Thor: The Dark World, he had supposedly brought himself some form of redemption as he fought alongside his brother and gave up his life in the fight. However, towards the end, fans realize that Loki is still very much alive, albeit disguised as the All-father and finally on the throne he's been coveting since day one.

How he'll appear in Thor: Ragnarok remains to be seen. I myself feel Marvel missed a chance to tease this return in Avengers: Age of Ultron, but at least this seals the deal.

Thor: Ragnarok also stars Chris Hemsworth, Idris Elba, Cate Blanchett, Tessa Thompson, and Jeff Goldblum. Mark Ruffalo will also be in the movie as The Hulk. The movie will be directed by Taika Waititi. It will be out in theaters on Oct. 25, 2017.
