Thor: Ragnarok Director Working On Live-Action TV Spinoff Of What We Do In The Shadows

Thor: Ragnarok might have yet to release in cinemas stateside, but it seems like director Taika Waititi's already working on a new project.

Speaking in an interview with Fandango, the Marvel director revealed that he was trying to work on a spinoff of his popular mockumentary horror comedy film, What We Do In The Shadows. Though a few film spinoffs for the movie have been in development for quite some time now, Waititi opened up about his plans to make an American TV adaptation.

"We're trying to develop a U.S. version of What We Do in the Shadows." Waititi said. "You know, set here in the states, but a T.V. show."

While Marvel fans might know Waititi more for Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and Hulk's (Mark Ruffalo) upcoming superhero space buddy movie, Thor: Ragnarok, the filmmaker has also made quite a deal of comedy movies in New Zealand, one of which is What We Do in the Shadows.

Following the story of a group of vampires sharing a flat together in New Zealand, the film has gained quite a following over the years and many have requested for a follow-up to the movie.

Here's a trailer of the movie if you want to check it out:

Thankfully it seems like Waititi's still interested in working on a proper sequel to What We Do In The Shadows, this time one centered around the film's cute werewolf gang.

Thor: Ragnarok hits cinemas next week on November 3.
