Thor and Star-Lord Confirmed To Return in Avengers: Infinity War

Fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe have been hoping to see the Guardians of the Galaxy characters crossing over the worlds of the Avengers, and now we know part of that dream will come true in the two-part Avengers: Infinity War films. The Russo Brothers, the directors behind Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War films, have confirmed to Comicbook that Chris Pratt's Star-Lord, AKA Peter Quill and Chris Hemsworth's Thor will appear in Infinity War. When asked which character they're particularly looking forward to working on, Anthony Russo said:

"The movies are intended to be a culmination of everything that's happened before in the MCU so you don't want to get into spoilers but I'm a big fan of what James Gunn has done. [Joe Russo and I] are both big fans of what James Gunn has done. Star-Lord is a fantastic character and Chris Pratt is an awesome performer so you'd be very excited," he said, teasing Pratt and Star-Lord's presence in Infinity War."

Joe Russo is excited to bring Thor into Infinity War since he knows something about Thor: Ragnarok that hasn't been revealed.

"I'm excited to work with Thor. They're doing some really interesting stuff with Ragnarok and where he's gonna be at the beginning of Infinity War is gonna be a very interesting place and I think very profound. I think he's gonna have a real emotional motivation after that."

It's good to know that Star-Lord and Thor will appear in Infinity War, but will Peter Quill's fellow Guardians join the mix?

Captain America: Civil War will be released in theaters on May 6, 2016. Avengers: Infinity War Parts I andII are set to release on May 4, 2018 and May 3, 2019.
