Mark Hamill’s Luke Skywalker was far from a Jedi, or even a Padawan, when audiences first saw him in Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope. It’s only natural for someone like him, newly introduced to the Force, to ask so many questions during a couple of scenes in the 1977 classic. However, a video has surfaced which has compiled all the moments Luke asked a question in the film.
The reel uploaded by RocketJump Film Schoolruns for a minute and a half.
It would seem that Hamill’s character had more questions than actual dialogue throughout the entirety of the film. The video makes him look like a whiny brat who asks everything of everyone. Of course, in reality, Luke had scenes with actual dialogue too, including the sequence where he flies an X-Wing starfighter that destroys the first Death Star. But the video is actually pretty funny. I hadn't notice until now how Luke asked so many questions during the film.
Watch for yourself:
The video would remind fans of how Luke’s father, Anakin, searched for many answers as well.
Fortunately, Rey didn’t get the same treatment in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Audiences are left with many questions without the lead character having to ask questions in the film herself.
