It might be the end of an era. ThinkGeek has announced that it is shutting down its website and will be moving everything to its parent company GameStop. But before all that, there is currently a sitewide sale offering items at half the price.

The sitewide 50% off sale is only available for a limited time but you can avail of the discounted price when you use the promo code MOVINGDAY. Just be advised that prices exclude free shipping and all sales are final.

The official ThinkGeek Instagram account shared a message about the site's move to GameStop. Check it out below.

"For the last two decades, we here at ThinkGeek have had more fun than a barrel of monkeys being the destination retailer for all things geek. In that time, we went from selling a single T-shirt, to running a growing online business that caught the eye of a pretty big company (who then adopted us!), to being a full-fledged retailer with over 40 actual, real-life stores. Today, we're announcing that we'll be moving back in with our roommates (ahem, parents) over at GameStop. We know, cohabitating with the ‘rents may not be the coolest thing to announce on social, but there will be some changes and we're guessing you'll have questions," it reads.

The move may have a lot to do with GameStop failing to sell the company after posting a $673 million loss in 2018. Although this means that ThinkGeek's website will be shutting down, the physical stores are expected to continue operating until further notice.
