The Witcher Fan Art Imagines Natalie Dormer As Ciri

Netflix is currently looking for a young actress to play Ciri in the upcoming The Witcher series. So what are the chances that former Game of Thrones actress Natalie Dormer will actually win the role?

Famed artist Boss Logic has released awesome fan art that reimagines Dormer as Cirilla Fiona Elen Riannon, the Princess of Cintra. Check out the post below.

Dormer certainly has the talent to play Ciri. However, Boss Logic is also quick to point out that Netflix is looking for a younger actress aged 14 to 16. Unfortunately, Dormer is too old to play a teenager but she would still be an ideal choice if the series ever decides to cast an adult Ciri.

The casting of Ciri has certainly been a controversial one for the series. It was previously rumored that Netflix is looking for BAME actors to play the character, something that didn't rest well with most fans. However, new reports have revealed that the network is hoping to cast a Polish actress to portray a young Ciri in the show.

Dormer is best known for playing Margaery Tyrell in Game of Thrones but she has also portrayed several strong women in the past. She appeared as Anne Boleyn in the Showtime series The Tudors and Cressida in the Hunger Games movies. Dormer also took on the role of Irene Adler in Elementary. Her most recent project is the horror flick Patient Zero, which premiered on September 14.

The Witcher is expected to premiere on Netflix in 2019.
